What’s the difference between “Same IP“ and “Shared IP“ banning? I am not sure I get it.

I am also interested in this. My use case: I offer limited services for regular members and users are supposed to buy a premium membership if they want more. So, they will often register with multiple accounts to cheat the system. If I only do the multiple-accounts check occasionally, I am already too late. I need to stop them as soon as they try to register a second account.
